Avert your eyes: behold the Medal Of Fear!
You may recall that Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert awarded the medal to NPR at their Rally To Restore Sanity, though they actually gave it to a young girl instead since we weren’t allowed to attend.
Fast forward a couple weeks, and one of our producers happened to be in the audience for a taping of the Colbert Report, and said to him boldly, “I work for NPR. I want my medal.”
Well, Colbert actually found one and gave it to her. Here’s the full story.
